Wedding invites soar for couple amid neighbourhood challenges

A furloughed employee has found a way to keep spirits high among his neighbours - which has meant more guests for his upcoming wedding.

Andy Byles lives on a terrace of just seven houses in Camborne with partner Andrea.

The street started a neighbourly group chat so they could check in on each other, provide shopping and take part in quizzes.

But now it has turned into weekly challenges of the most creative ideas to keep their community entertained - and additional invites.

The groom-to-be said he is especially thankful to his neighbours, not only for them joining in the fun tasks, but for the support they have shown his partner Andrea who recently lost her mum to cancer.

Andy old Pirate FM: "I am just trying to keep spirits high in our small terrace of houses.

"it started with a group chat which then turned into creating something with toilet rolls.

"The only downside is that our wedding invites have increased for next summer."

Each challenge is set on a Wednesday and by Sunday they announce the winner.

The challenges include Easter bonnets, music video with lip sync, rolling obstacle courses, face masks, loo roll models and the bog roll relay.

Whoever wins sets the next new challenge.
