These are the Trago departments that have reopened today

Trago temporarily closed its doors before the government lockdown in a move to protect staff and customers.

Now, in-line with the latest government advice and alongside a "comprehensive programme of safety, social distancing and sanitisation measures" the company has gradually starting phased re-openings.

Trago in Falmouth re-opened at 9am today for household essentials, pets, DIY, paints, gardens, BBQs, mowers and more.

In Liskeard  all the safety procedures were in place earlier and they re-opened the ground floor at the weekend. Safe shopping is now allowed for all household essentials, DIY, decorating, pets, landscaping and gardens.

A Trago spokesman said: "In our main stores we are continuing to work hard on new safety precautions and equipment to ensure safe shopping for customers and staff when we re-open more departments.

"We are following government advice on re-opening further departments and will update you soon on our web page."

The Garden Centre at Trago in Newton Abbot also re-opened at the weekend and customers are advised to follow the directional signs pointing the way to the Lakeside rear car park. Stewards and clearly marked ’safe queuing’ will guide customers into the store and through a newly created route into the garden centre. Reduced opening hours will apply 9am-4.30pm every day except Sundays 10am-4pm.

As part of its social distancing procedures at all Trago stores only two family members will be able to shop at any one time.

Under 16 year olds will not be permitted at the moment and some services like paint mixing are suspended.
