Lucy Carter, the power behind Leaf Lane Studio, has created a vinyl sticker to try and help raise money for Last Chance Hotel to help support them through lockdown.

The colourful, vinyl sticker, designed by Lucy, reads 'Your only job is to show up as the human you want to be in this world’.

Lucy said, 'I created this sticker with the hope that this quote would remind us all what is important in this current climate; that all we can be is ourselves and, providing we are doing that, we are doing okay!'.

Lucy, based in Penzance, has 100 of her stickers to sell, which would mean she was able to donate over £400 to the animal charity. The stickers cost £5 each, with £4.33 of each sale being donated - leaving her just enough to cover postage.

Last Chance Hotel rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes abused and neglected dogs, and other animals, in Cornwall. They're well known across the county for taking on animals that are on their 'last chance:' the ex-bait and ex-fight dogs, the sick, the aged and the terminally ill, showing them as much love and compassion as possible.

'I chose this charity because I am passionate about animals and so I put great thought into picking something that felt right to my core. This is a local charity to me, based not far from us in Cornwall, however their reach is further than that.

Their work within the community, with social services and the police, as well as with more vulnerable members of society is incredible and this is why I have chosen them to support with this sticker.

The coronavirus has affected so much more than we can imagine and so many charities have lost their streams of income and support, but their dedicated team members are still doing the best they can in this strange time

If we can help them with even a little bit of money to help feed some of their gorgeous sanctuary animals, then I think that will be a truly wonderful thing.'

The stickers have been a great success with many already sold, but if you'd like to get your hands on one and buy a sticker, as well as help support Last Chance Hotel, you can do so here.
