Jubilee Pool is reopening this weekend!

Published at 9:03pm 22nd July 2020. (Updated at 9:14pm 22nd July 2020)

You'll once again be able to take a dip in Jubilee Pool from Saturday the 25th of July.

With various new measures in place to make sure your experience is as safe as possible, the UK's largest art deco sea water lido is once again opening its doors to the public.

In order to keep customers and staff safe, the pool has significantly reduced its capacity to 150 people and they're asking customers to book in advance.

Swim time will now be segmenting into specific, hour long, swim sessions, which you'll be able to book online.

Jubilee pool are also asking customers to arrive 'beach ready' so time in communal changing rooms is minimised.

"We are really excited to be welcoming swimmers back to the pool on Saturday – it feels like we have finally reached the light at the end of the tunnel!

We are well prepared, but are all feeling a bit anxious too.  We have a lot of new systems and procedures in place to keep everyone safe that are new to us and our customers, so we are keeping everything crossed that it all runs smoothly.

We ask our customers to bear with us while we all adjust to our new normal and we’ll iron out any issues as fast as we can.

We can’t wait to get our buzz back!"

Nicola Murdoch, Interim COO at Jubilee Pool

The pool will be open to the public from Saturday the 25th of July, however they're offering free swims to key workers and their families on Friday 24th, as a special thank you.

Although the learner's pool will not be in use this year, the geothermal pool is now nearing completion and will be opening by the end of August.

Yoga classes will also be on offer at the lido. Enjoy a stretch before your swim in one of their classes that are running twice a week from Tuesday the 28th of July.

For those who feel a little peckish, Jubilee Pool's Cafe will be open using outdoor seating only.

From the 25th July, Jubilee Pool will be open Tuesday to Sunday until the end of September. Tickets are available to be booked now - find more information on their website, here.
