The 1983 recording of the Superman song by Black Lace became a staple at parties and discos across the UK in the Eighties.

The song featured a number of dance moves based on the lyrics.

All the fun kid at a 'do', often led by adults, would recreate the gestures which were:

  • sleeping,
  • waving,
  • hitching a ride,
  • sneezing,
  • walking,
  • swimming,
  • skiing,
  • spraying deodorant,
  • sounding a horn,
  • ringing a bell,
  • flexing muscles as a "Macho Man",
  • making the letters "OK",
  • blowing kisses,
  • combing and flying like Superman.

But you can forget all that. [We did that over a decade ago -Ed]

Because now Johnny has rewritten the lyrics to fit the lockdown times we're living in.

And Saffy has only gone and reinvented the dance moves!
