Cornwall Pride is launching a new online tour - streaming local musicians live from towns across Cornwall.

With the support of the Duchy's fire service - known as the Pride Responders - organisers are taking the Phoenix fire truck to 18 locations to present Cornwall Pride: Unleashed.

Drag queen Layla Zee Susan and Matthew Kenworthy Gomes, chair of Cornwall Pride, will be hosting from each location on Sunday.

The talent they have lined up includes The Voice winner Molly Hocking, Dusk at Dawn's, Polly Jones, Company B, Megan Elizabeth, Ciaran Rutherfurd, Sammy Shepherd, Perrin Hooper, Kiera Chard, James Shead, Stone Roots, Ali Hoswell, Tom Cary and the Kernow Bedroom Choir.

"Cornwall Pride: Unleashed is the only online live Pride on tour in the world," said Matthew.

"It was born from the idea that Pride should come to you, especially in one of the most rural places in the UK. In the midst of this pandemic all our communities have gone through so much, it's time to focus our ability to be together.

"Pride is there to bring everyone together, through the locations and representations of everyone right here in Cornwall."

The team will be following guidelines on social distancing, washing their hands and wearing face masks when required.

They will be streaming live from 18 different towns across Cornwall on YouTube, Facebook and other platforms to your home on Sunday, June 21 from 5.30pm.

"This has not been seen anywhere in the world and no one has ever attempted this type of project for Pride," said Matthew.

"With many other community speakers and interviews from all over Cornwall joining us, and bringing the community together right when it is needed the most, each to support, represent and bring Pride to as much of Cornwall as we can."

Towns hosting performances on Sunday are Padstow , Wadebridge, Bodmin, Launceston, Callington, Saltash, Liskeard, Lostwithiel, St Austell, Truro, Falmouth, Helston, Porthleven, Redruth, Camborne, Hayle, St ives and Penzance.

Cornwall Pride have partnered with JJA Productions, Pirate FM, Chaos Group, ICG Creative, Newquay Town Council, Newquay Bid, Impact Light & Sound and many more to put on the show.
