Every day we will be bringing you our Cornish musical recommendations that you can check out for a bit of lockdown listening.

Then each weekend we'll upload our playlist compilation featuring the best of the week.

As well as being featured on Pirate's social media and here on our Superblog, the bands will also get snippets of their songs played on air.

To feature, send us an email with a bio, a picture and links to your social media pages to ellie.hodgkinson@piratefm.co.uk

Stone Roots formed in mid-2014 from the combination of singer-songwriter Holly Turton and the well-seasoned ‘Melodious Funk’ rhythm section, Stone Roots merge pop-infused vocal melodies with close-knit funk and soul grooves........

Known at their live shows for soul-fuelled, powerful performances and intricate, addictive original material, Stone Roots have made their unique amalgamation of styles the center of their creative identity. Having been described as ’Adele meets the Red Hot Chili Peppers’, the sound that Stone Roots create is infectious, energetic and guaranteed to get you moving.

Stone Roots are a funk-pop wedding, festivals and events band based in Cornwall. Stone Roots are all things funk, 90s & 00s and have something for everyone in their floor-filling jam packed set.
