A campaign to get men to talk about mental health is going viral.

British rugby player, Luke Ambler kicked off the campaign with a post on the photo sharing site Instagram.

He shared the image alongside a range facts and figures - including that the single biggest killer of men aged under 45 is suicide.

Luke continued: “Let’s show men all across the world that #ITSOKAYTOTALK."

The campaign urges men to share a selfie of them doing the ‘okay’ sign while tagging five friends to do the same.

Luke wants to spread awareness after the loss of his brother in law, Andy Roberts, who took his own life.

Over 4,000 posts have been posted on Instagram supporting the cause, including Ricky Gervais.

Luke says he has been overwhelmed by the support. He said: "@andrewploberts if only you could be here to see this. Hopefully you are proud of what we are doing in your memory."
