VIDEO: Would You Stop To Help A Child Alone In A Shopping Centre?

Published at 9:51am 12th April 2016.

A video shows two young children, left alone in a shopping centre - and the number of people who stop to help them is depressing.

The social experiment was conducted in Australia’s busiest shopping centre, where two children were left standing, apparently alone and frightened.

The experiment wanted to see whether people would be concerned enough to stop.

The video shows only a couple of people stopping with concern of the children’s well-being and asking where their parents are.

The video reveals: “In 8 hours, only 21 people stopped to help.”

The experiment aims to raise awareness of children who are in need of care and protection, urging people to consider fostering.
