A campaign is underway to try to get a north Cornwall mum of two, once told she might never walk again, to the Paralympics.

Emily Skerret from Crackington Haven is a dressage rider.

After developing EDS in pregnancy, she struggles to pick up her sons for a cuddle without dislocating her joints.

The condition means she is in constant pain.

Now Emily is trying to raise money for training and competition ahead of the games' in Rio, through Crowdfunder: "I had some huge problems with my pelvis which meant I had a lot of time in hospital and Finlay was very premature. The hospital did actually say to my husband at the time that I might never walk again and we certainly didn't think I would ever get on a horse again.

"My ultimate goal would be to go to Rio but just generally to get as far as I can in Para competition and hopefully represent Great Britain, that's what I really want to do; that would be my dream."
