A couple of fishermen discovered they were going to need a bigger boat off Boscastle.

They reeled in what is believed to be the biggest shark ever caught in Britain.

Fishermen Wayne Comben and Graeme Pullen were towed a mile by the 550lb Porbeagle. They tagged and released the ten foot long relative of the great white after a ninety minute struggle.

In a video, Graeme said, "The most unbelievable sight, I can't even describe it to you. This huge shark just attacking on the surface, trying to get hold of the bait. We aren't even sure it wasn't trying to eat seagulls or something. And at the last moment, the last of the chum went in, it was like a great white.

"We've had a one and a half hour fight with it."

The pair were shooting a video for totallyawesomefishing.com at the time. You can see it here...
